Venture back to the elegance of tea served in oh so delicate china tea cups. Imagine yourself sitting at an oak partners desk from the Arts and Crafts period. Think about the history and story of each piece as you hold it in your hands. They say the best way to see the future is to reflect back to the past. Let That Vintage Thing bring you back.................

About Us

Our company was born out of our passion for one-of-a-kind vintage items. We spend plenty of time at estate sales looking for that unique piece that has withstood the test of time. Our goal is to build a collection of distinctive vintage products for your design and gift giving needs. Karen Paquette, had a lot of treasures while her sister, Maureen Wayne-Ayotte had retail space that she was no longer using. While antique shopping one Saturday, their entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and they decided to combine Karen’s treasures and Maureen’s space.

Maureen has been a successful businesswoman in Manchester, New Hampshire for 17 years. She is the owner of Tails Above the Rest Pet Salon located at 575 South Willow St.

Karen previously worked as a licensed property and casualty agent for MetLife. Prior to starting That Vintage Thing, she opened up a shop on Etsy.com. to sell her ever-growing collection. Her hobby quickly took over her home, which is why this opportunity seemed like a logical step.

The sisters immediately went to work on redefining Maureen’s retail space into a haven for Karen’s vintage treasures. Maureen also loves refinishing old furniture, so we will soon feature her pieces as well as items that we have acquired through estate sales.

Maureen continues to run her grooming business. For Karen, it is a privilege to be working next door to her sister.
